Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR)

Sensing the fast changing face of techno-science world, Indrashil University has signed MoU with foreign universities with a prime objective of developing students with global professionalism. IU will provide international exposure to students and faculty through exchange programs and international internships.

Instrument Generic Name: NMR Spectrometer

Model : Latest version of two-channel 400 MHz NMR spectrometer comprised of advanced console, shielded superconducting magnet (standard/narrow bore) for multi-dimensional NMR experiments.

Make: Brüker Biospin, Switzerland

Probe: 5 mm probe along with automatic tuning and matching and required accessories for (H-F/X) 19F-observe/1H-decoupling and Broad band observe experiments. VT and gradient facility. The probe should be capable for routine 1H-detected HSQC/HMBC experiments also. 1H Sensitivity (0.1% EB) should be 500 or more. 13C sensitivity should be 200 or more.

Console: Console should be capable of generating shaped pulses and easy to integrate into the pulse-sequences. Dual receiver system.

Electronic console (~220-240 V) with Full Band 2-RF CHANNELS: Capabilities of 1H/19F observe and decoupling (at least 50W) and full-band X-channel (100 W or above). 2H-Gradient shimming facility. VT-control (-100 to 100 C or better) unit suitable for all the probes sought under the basic and optional items.

Applications:

  • Structural analysis of chemical compounds containing NMR active nuclei
  • Screening of potential drugs
  • NOE and chemical exchange experiments.
  • Analysis 1H, 13C, 15N, 14N and other active nucleolus
  • All 2D NMR techniques

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR)

  • All 1D NMR techniques
  • Relaxation measurements (T1/T2)
  • Quantitative NMR
  • Spectral interpretation

Sample

  • For solution NMR, (This also includes, solid sample that can be dissolved in CDCl3-d1 / D2O-d2 / DMSO-d6) please supply around 10mg sample for Proton NMR and 30 mg. for other nuclei, preferably in a small vial with zip bag. Deuterated solvents will be provided by the Centre
  • Please note that if your supplied sample is less than the above quantity and solubility is not properly provided, it may take more time for the experiment which will require additional charges. Under normal conditions, the experiment result will be available within 10 days. In case you have any difficulty or delay in getting the analysis, please contact.
