PROFILE

Dr. Krishna Koradia is currently associated with School of Pharmacy, Indrashil University as an Associate Professor. She completed her B. Pharm from IICP, Sardar Patel University and M. Pharm from RPCP, CHARUSAT University. She had qualified GPAT 2010 for admission in PG with Scholarship from AICTE. She did her Ph.D. form Saurashtra University on Nanoparticulate drug delivery system for dissolution enhancement. She received prestigious University Grant Commission (UGC) Basic Sciences Research (BSR) Meritorious Fellowship for her Ph.D. work. She received financial assistance from GTU SSIP Patent Cell for filling of Patent and Patent was granted with patent application no: 202021002270. She had more than 10 years of teaching and research experience. She had guided 21 M. Pharm students for their dissertation work. She had served as resource person in various workshops and had also organized Gujarat State Pharmacy Council sponsored two days refresher course for registered pharmacist. She had presented 22 papers in various International and National conference and published 8 papers in peer reviewed international journals.

PROFILE

Currently, working as an assistant professor at School of Pharmacy, Indrashil university with total 9.5 years of teaching and research experience. She has received her PG and PhD degree from Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya. She has received INSPIRE fellowship (2014-2019) for persuing full time PhD from Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi. As a teacher she helps students to acquire knowledge, competence, or virtue, via the practice of teaching. Her major research area of interests includes formulation development for combating variable bioavailability employing various Quality by Design and Design of Experiments methodologies.

RESEARCH

Research work includes use of Design of Experiments and Quality by Design for development of various formulations. Major area of interest includes formulation and development of conventional dosage forms, transdermal dosage form, microemulsion, microparticles, DPIs, Ocular nano formulations and use of statistical parameters, design of experiment, multivariate analysis, simulation studies for the optimization and performance prediction of formulation.

Having experience in formulation of various dosage forms like tablets, capsules, dry powder suspensions, ointments, syrups, injectable solutions etc. Have ability to handle various sophisticated instruments such as Spray dryer, HPLC, UV- Spectrophotometer, REMI Centrifuge, Rotary evaporator, Probe Sonicator, Lyophilizer etc. Good command over computer operations and software such as Design Expert. RESEARCH

Major research area in PLGA based nanoparticulate drug delivery system. Peptide drug delivery in nanoparticulate drug delivery by intranasal route. Exenatide PLGA nanoparticles by nose to brain in obesity treatment and Leuprolide acetate PLGA and Chitosan nanoparticles for Alzheimer’s are the research completed. Have worked as JRF in DST granted project: Development and evaluation of microparticle based dry powder inhaler system of Rifampicin, ofloxacin and ethambutol for Tuberculosis.
