1. Objective
The Research Internship Program aims to provide structured research exposure, hands-on laboratory training, and skill development to students in the fields of Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biomedical Sciences, and allied disciplines, in alignment with the University’s academic framework and research mandate.
2. Applicability
This policy is applicable to:
• Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Professional students
• Short-term and long-term research internships ranging from 15 days to 6 months
• Internships conducted at Indrashil University research laboratories or other approved facilities
3. Eligibility
The program is open to National / International students from:
• BSc Biotechnology / Microbiology / Chemistry
• MSc Biotechnology / Microbiology / Life Sciences / Organic Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry
• Diploma / BE / BTech (All branches), BCA, BSc IT, ITI
• Industry professionals with relevant academic or research background
Admission shall be based on academic merit or demonstrated interest in research.

5. Infrastructure & Facilities
Interns shall have access to advanced facilities including:
• Molecular biology and cell culture laboratories
• PCR, RT-PCR, ChemiDoc, Nanodrop
• Fermenter, HPLC, FTIR, NMR
• Biosafety Level-II laboratories
• Arduino, PLC, FPGA, HMI systems
• Home Automation Kits and High Performance Computing
6. Duration & Fee Structure
Internship Duration: 1 Month to 6 Months (Flexible)
Fee – National Students:
15 Days – ₹2,500/-
1 Month – ₹5,000/-
Fee – International Students:
15 Days – $200
1 Month – $400
Group concessions may be considered for batches of more than 10 students.
7. Accommodation & Transportation
Hostel and transportation facilities are available on a chargeable basis, subject to availability.
8. Roles & Responsibilities
University / Host Department:
• Assign a qualified faculty mentor
• Provide laboratory access and supervision
• Monitor progress and evaluation
Intern:
• Follow university rules and safety norms
• Maintain discipline and attendance
• Submit reports and presentations
9. Evaluation & Certification
Performance will be evaluated by the faculty mentor. A Certificate of Completion will be issued upon successful completion.
10. Academic Recognition
The internship may be considered for:
• Academic credits (where applicable)
• Project or dissertation work
• Skill enhancement and research exposure
