Indrashil University in its initial years shall start School of Engineering with 3 departments; School of Sciences with 2 departments and School of Professional Studies and in its later stage shall also have Schools offering programmes in Humanities, Management, and Law. University has faculty affairs Committee which shall look after all the matters related to teaching staff like salary, promotion, increment, leaves, and appointment.

University is inviting applications for the post of Professors, Assistant Professors, and Associate Professors for its following Departments of engineering and Sciences.

Applications are invited from distinguished academicians and renowned scientists from leading Indian/Foreign Institutes/Universities/Corporate Houses to fill academic positions at the ranks of Professors, Assistant Professors, and Associate Professors in relevant areas. The university will encourage its faculty to undertake research activities and will have an environment filled with engaging colleagues, outstanding students and superior working designed to balance excellence in research, teaching and services.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must possess:
  • A Ph.D. degree with first class or equivalent in the related branch and excellent academic record.

  • A visionary with proven leadership qualities, administrative capabilities as well as teaching and research credentials.

  • Having outstanding academic record throughout and a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a dean/professor in academic/ research organization.

  • The candidate having 20-25 years of experience in Industry research having passion for building academic institution can also apply.

  • International experience in academic and research will be preferred.

The candidate should possess:
  • Master degree with at-least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scales in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute.

  • At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs.7000/- and above or with eight years of service in the AGP of Rs. 8000/- and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in Educational Administration.
    or
    Comparable experience in research establishment and / or other institutions of higher education
    or
    15 years of administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
    or
    An equivalent post or comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institution of higher education.

The applicant must possess:
  • Master degree with at-least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute.

  • 15 years of administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Finance Officer/Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post along with an experience in educational finance administration.

The candidate should possess the following:
  • Ph. D. with 13 yrs. teaching experience out of which 3 yrs. must be as a Professor or 8 yrs. as an Associate Professor.
    or
    Ph. D. with 13 yrs. experience of teaching and/or industrial and/or research out of which 8 yrs. shall be post Ph. D. experience. Industrial experience shall be at the managerial level, equivalent to professor with active participation in designing, developing, planning, executing, analyzing, quality control, research paper/publications/patents, training etc. deemed fit by selection committee.
    and

  • Minimum qualification as per Professor.

The position of Dean will be on rotational period (3 years).
The Candidate should possess the following:
  • An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.

  • A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college, and/or experience in research at the University/National level institutions/industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.

  • Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS).
    or
    An outstanding professional, with an exceptional accomplishment established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.

The Candidate should possess the following:
  • Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.

  • A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).

  • A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.

  • Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students, as evidenced by Ph.D. thesis /co-authored books/publications in peer reviewed journals.

  • A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS).

The Candidate should possess the following:
  • Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

  • Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) /State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR.

  • Notwithstanding anything contained in (b) above candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET.

  • NET/SLET shall not be required for such Masters Programs in disciplines of which NET/SLET is not conducted.

  • Salary for all above positions will be as per the norms.

  • Salary and Experience for the Exceptional candidates with potential leadership is flexible as per the recommendation of the selection committee at the time of interview.
